Katelyne|Rob – Married!

It was a beautiful summer day in July when Katelyne and Rob exchanged their vows in an intimate elopement in Moose Meadows. Katelyne’s immediate family and close friends were able to witness this in a socially distanced fashion, while Rob’s family watched from afar on Zoom. It wasn’t supposed to be like this, the day. See, Katelyne and Rob were one of those couples whose plans got squashed by COVID-19! They were planning a summer wedding with the majority of Rob’s family coming from the lower 48. But once June rolled around, and things weren’t getting any better, it was apparent that they had to make the decision to cancel their large wedding. They decided that it was best to have a small elopement instead. The day may not have looked like what they first imagined but it turned out to be more than they could have dreamed of, a special day filled with a lot of love, laughter, and joy.

Some of my favorites to note from this elopement:

  • Zoom, yes Zoom made it possible for Rob’s family to attend the wedding. We set up a laptop in the middle of Moose Meadows and they all watched as Katelyne and Rob exchanged their vows!
  • The officiant they chose for their wedding…I heard she was ahhhhmazing, lol! Yeah, it was me! In all honesty, I was freaking out inside because I am not used to being front and center, I’m the one in the back trying to be discreet! But, I do have to say, that it was pretty cool that I had the best seat in the house and was right there to see all the happy tears, laughter, and love!
  • The small, intimate, sit-down dinner at Jack Sprats after the ceremony. They reserved the Solarium room where they were able to have a private 4-course dinner. Their staff did a wonderful job of decorating the table and making it extra special for them.
