Katie | Mahear – Married!
Back when I met Katie and Mahear in July of 2019, we had discussed a May wedding for 2020. I look back and I am so relieved that they ended up moving their wedding to February after meeting with me. One for the obvious reason, COVID-19 and two, who doesn’t appreciate a winter wedding in Alaska!
Some of my favorites to note from this wedding:
- The gorgeous draping used as the backdrop for the ceremony.
- Reggie! Yes, Reggie the handsome ring bearer! I remember everyone reacting to his cuteness as he walked down the aisle to Mahear to bring him the rings that were secured on his collar.
- The lanterns that the bridesmaids carried instead of bouquets that also doubled as centerpieces.
- The wedding cake…there wasn’t just one, there were 6!
- The Arabic wedding tradition where the Bride and Groom are lifted in chairs up in the air on the dance floor. I do have to admit, I held my breath until Katie’s feet found her way back to the ground!
