Let’s talk Elopements and Petite Weddings!

Well, I am sorry to say, but this 2020 summer wedding season is turning out to be a bust! However, there is hope you if still want to get married. Yes, you may not get to have 100 of your closest friends and family there, and yes you will have to downsize to an elopement or a petite wedding (also known as a micro wedding but it sounds like a science project so I’m calling it petite 😉 ). And don’t worry, it will still be beautiful, I guarantee it!

Let’s start by talking about the difference between an elopement and a petite wedding:

An elopement is often used to refer to a marriage that is done suddenly and in a secret fashion, with usually just the two of you. These days there are not too many couples that sneak away and surprise everyone, and it usually ends up being a well thought out plan!

A petite wedding is a small and intimate affair, with usually no more than 50 guests. Some petite weddings will still do the usual traditions like toasting, cutting the cake and dinner, but on a much smaller scale. You can make it as simple or elaborate as you would like! My Petite wedding package is geared towards less than 25 people.

When it comes to eloping or getting married in Alaska there are endless options. Here are just a couple of my favorites to share with you.

You could elope on a Glacier…
