Lorell’s Favorite Things 2019

If Oprah can have a “Favorite Things 2019” list, so can I! I’m recapping some of my favorite things, ideas, and moments from my 2019 weddings.

Brianna and Clay came from South Carolina to elope in Alaska. This beautiful picture of Brianna’s late mother was held by her sister during the ceremony. What a beautiful way to honor her late mother and include her in the ceremony.

Brianna’s Tiffany Blue Hunter Boots were everything!

One of the Bride’s closest friends baked this homemade wedding cheesecake for Mercedes and Jay. It was made with LOVE! Guests had cheesecake for dessert and this beauty got to go home with the newlyweds!

We had an extremely hot summer in Alaska, like 90-degree temps!! The bold pops of color from E’s wedding screamed summer and sizzled just like we all did! And bonus points for the mismatched colors and dresses for the bridesmaids!

This was a first for me! D and E incorporated hand-fasting into their ceremony. Each color of the ribbon represented a vow that the couple would carry with them into their marriage, and was tied around their wrists by a family member or friend. Hence the term “Tying the Knot!”

I LOVED everything about Heather and John’s wedding! I loved the colors, the simplicity of the tablescape, and don’t even get me started on the napkin presentation!

Rescue Flats to the rescue! Heather purchased two boxes of these dancing shoes for her guests so that they could dance the night away, and they did just that!

Who knew that it was going to be in the 90’s on Heather and John’s wedding day??!! Not only did the Rescue Flats come to the rescue, but the frozen yogurt bar from Yogurt Lounge did too!

Ahhhh, backyard weddings are my favorite! When Kristin and Richard decided to opt to go for a more simple and intimate affair then they had originally planned, it turned out perfect!

It always amazes me when Joe from Chugach Peaks Photography captures moments like this! I’ve seen everything from rainbows, to bears, to moose, and now the neighbor’s plane trying to land as the ladies were taking group photos. It was picture perfect!

Aaand my final favorite….who could forget the insane Fireweed we had this year!

What a great idea Lorell! I bet it was hard to narrow down favorites! Everything you show here had a special element to it. What a great year! And yes, that cheesecake not only looked fantastic, it tasted unlike any I’ve ever had. Epic! Thanks for a great flash of the year! You should do a calendar!
